Jody is a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist (NC#21859) and is a Level III Reiki Master Practitioner. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Tech University. 

 

She began practicing Massage & Bodywork in early 2014 and has been studying energy healing since 2007.  Her training from the Massage Therapy Institute in Davis, CA includes a blend of Western and Eastern modalities and she practices an integrated blend of massage that includes techniques from Swedish, Therapeutic Deep Tissue, and Acupressure. She also practices Reiki and offers in person and remote sessions. One of her more popular offerings is the combination sessions that include both Integrated Massage and Reiki. 

 

Upon receiving her Certified Massage Therapist certification from the California Massage Therapy Council in June of 2014, Jody opened Joann Wetherill Bodywork in Carmichael, CA, which operated until September 2020. She then opened Jody Wetherill Bodywork in Asheville, NC from September 2024 through July 2025. ​

 

Jody relaxes through reading, meditation, walking, cooking, watching Sci-Fi  & Fantasy movies, hiking, kayaking, listening to Blues music, watercolor painting, digital arts and she enjoys savoring and sharing food, wine & beer pairings.
